Human & Civil Rights Activist – Youth Development Advocate – Philanthropic Leader

Tricia Harris began her career serving the legacy & family of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. During her 10-year tenure, she rose from Intellectual Property Licensing Administrator to Chief Operating Officer of the worldwide public & private interests of Dr. King’s legacy and the King family’s private business & legal affairs.

Tricia worked at every level of the family-owned, Estate of Martin Luther King, Jr. and the Martin Luther King, Jr. Center for Nonviolent Social Change, the non-profit founded in 1968 by Mrs. Coretta Scott King to advance her husband’s legacy. By the age of 23, she was named Chief of Staff & the youngest COO in the King legacy’s history. Tricia was primarily accountable for overseeing daily operations, community outreach, resource development and creating long-term strategies to ensure that Dr. King’s core tenants are properly interpreted and perpetuated by current and future generations.

Following her tenure with the King legacy, Tricia worked in the financial services & technology sectors at Equifax. During her 3 ½ year tenure she was recruited by three functional groups to work in the areas of global program management and global resourcing for Enabling Technologies, Global Sourcing/Legal and Global Human Resources.

After Equifax, Tricia served as the Executive Aide to Ambassador Andrew J. Young where she managed his civic, political & personal interests. From 2009-2011, Tricia worked as Executive Advisor and Writer for Dr. Bernice A. King.

Tricia has also consulted with numerous charities, social enterprises and political campaigns. She has conducted over 50 speaking engagements to corporate and community audiences about social and economic progress, diversity/inclusion and advancing humanity. Tricia has been featured in the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, JET Magazine, The Atlanta Tribune, Rolling Out, and was recognized as “Young and Gifted Under 30” in Essence Magazine.
